Profile

Robert Lombardi received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University on the Main Line in Pennsylvania. He received his Master of Architecture degree at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.  During his education, he studied abroad in both Siena and Rome, Italy. In pursuit of his Master’s degree, his preferred focus was on New Urbanism and Regionalism, which has lead significantly to his architecture style today. His design aesthetic can be described as a mixture of classic, traditional, regional, and modern.

“Every project should be an ICON; from something as small as a shed, all the way up to a large building.”

– Robert J. Lombardi

Creating a project with a sense of place

Robert J. Lombardi seeks to respect existing regional architectural styles. He understands each place has unique characteristics that make it the place it is. A home designed for the New Jersey shore should look like it belongs along the coast. A home designed for inland Pennsylvania, should look like it belongs in that region. When designing a new structure, we always seek to respect the natural environment as much as possible. This involves use of the materials and colors for the home as well as selecting regionally appropriate landscape materials and plantings. We also promote the use of indigenous plants in landscape design. Follow the link below to see indigenous plant life of the New Jersey shore.
