The 9thAvenue Pierwas originally a vacant pier on the west side of Belmar, NJ, located on the Shark River. The town of Belmar wanted to enact plans to develop the marina area of Belmar. This nameless Pier was named 9thAvenue Pier because it was an extension of Belmar’s 9thAvenue, even though the street no longer connects. This soon became a hugely popular outdoor bar and restaurant featuring 2 bars, and ton of outdoor tables and seating, and 2 mobile trailers that act as kitchen and restroom facilities. This newly minted Jersey shore ICON has some of the best sunset views of any public place at the Jersey Shore.
